Cape Breton District Health Authority

The Cape Breton District Health Authority provides acute care, continuing care, programs and services through its hospitals, clinics and continuing care facilities within Cape Breton County, Northern and Central Inverness County and Victoria County. In addition to acute care delivery the District works under an integrated shared service model with the Guysborough Antigonish Strait Health Authority that includes Addiction Services and Public Health Services.

  • Raised toilet seat (with or without armrests) OR standard commode chair
Bathing Aids:

For Walk-in Shower:
  • Shower chair
For Bathtub:
  • Tub transfer bench or shower stool
  • Grab bars or add-on tub rail
 
Optional, but Recommended

Dressing Aids:
  • Dressing - sock aid
  • Dressing - long handled reacher
  • Dressing - long handled shoehorn
  • Elastic shoe laces (otherwise use slip on shoes with an enclosed heel)
Bathing Aids:
  • Long handled sponge
  • Non-slip bathmat
  • Hand-held shower hose
