 Recovering at Home

You’ve had your surgery, and you’ve made it safely home. Now it’s time to work on your recovery! It is strongly recommended a family member or caregiver stay with you for the first two to three days after you return home.

This section will show you what you need to do after your surgery so you can have a speedy and safe recovery. This includes managing your pain at home, and working hard on your rehabilitation.  You can do this by exercising, taking good care of yourself and protecting your new joint.

This section also gives you some basic rules or precautions you need to take after surgery, as well as safety tips on getting in and out of a car.
